Sandgate, Women’s Shelter of York Region Inc. is often seeking volunteer board members from the community who are committed to supporting quality service in a woman-centered organization. Sandgate Women's Shelter of York Region Inc. is looking for individuals to fill our relief Women’s Advocates positions. Applicants must be available to work at our Jackson’s Point location, require f luency in a second language, valid driver’s license, car insurance and a reliable vehicle as well as a Vulnerable Sector Screening check.Crisis counseling exp. and related education are preferred. Flexible schedule is mandatory as shifts rotate 24-7. Women who speak Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Hebrew or any other significant language spoken in York Region are encouraged to apply.
